Price Information

One rental day is equal 24 hours - Each fraction of a day is considered as an aditional day - but we allow a tolerance 2 hours.
Prices quoted on this web page are our best rates and further discount cannot be granted.
Rates for 3 days are 50 % of the weekly rates.
Rates more than 3 and less than 7 days are based on the 7 day rate divided by 6 x the number of days hire
Rates less than 3 days are based on the 7 day rate divided by 4 x the number of days.
Rates more than 7 days are based on the 7 day rate pro-rata.
Bookings made for less than 7 days require a payment of airport delivery charge of 12 Euros per rental.
Full payment is required upon signing the rental agreement. The payment has to be made with a valid credit card (Visa/Master/Eurocard, Diners Club or American Express), travellers cheques or in cash (also foreign currencies) - foreign cheques cannot be accepted.
All quoted rates include free mileage, unlimited public liability and V.A.T. (Portuguese VAT is called IVA and is 21%)

Airport collection and delivery ( free for 7 days hire or more) 12 euros per hire

Extra Drivers: second driver free then 10 euros each

Insurance for Spain 50 euros per hire

Baby & Child seats free

Night delivery ( after 23.00 and before 07.30) 20 euros each

Child Seats

We have standard forward facing child seats suitable for children from 6 months upwards and booster seats. Please bring a towel or other cover for the seat to help us keep them clean. Where parents have any doubts about the suitability for their child, we would, for peace of mind, always recommend that they consider bringing their own child seat.

Car Substitution

Unlike most companies our clients can specify their preferred car. Whilst we always try to provide the car that clients have requested, due to accidents or late returns we may have to substitute an alternative model. This is a circumstance beyond our control and we ask for clients understanding & patience. If you are given a larger car you will still only pay the rental for the car you requested.

Algarve Car Hire Terms & conditions- The small print

GENERAL

We can only deliver cars in the Algarve and Lisbon, Portugal and Cartaya and Islantilla, Spain.
Besides the international airports of Faro and Lisbon we can deliver cars at your hotel or resort upon request and subjected to a small surcharge. * Usually FREE to Owners In Portugal Clients for hires of 7 days or more *
"Rent it here, leave it there" is free of charge throughout the Algarve for rental periods more than 6 days.
Deliveries out of the airport for rental periods less than 7 days are subjected to a small surcharge, depending on the distance from the airport to the delivery location.
Minimum rental period is 3 days.
Minimum drivers age is 23.
Drivers license must be valid in Portugal and held for more than 2 years. Please ensure you have all necessary documents available to prove this.
After your reservation is confirmed, if for any reason you are not planning to go ahead we ask you please to send us a message canceling your reservation. This way we can have the car free for another client.
Our supplier is a founder member and strongly supports the resolutions of AERCO. All members have access to the AERCO bookings database and can detect duplicated reservations or other kind of fraudulent transactions. To avoid further problems we strongly recommend our clients to:
- Not to give false information
- Email us to cancel if not planning to show at collection time
- Do not make several reservations for the same car and period with several companies


DEPOSIT
We require valid credit card details for security reasons. If you do not possess a valid credit card, a cash security deposit has to be left which is fully returnable, when car is brought back damage and loss free - Cheques cannot be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WITHOUT VALID CREDIT CARD OR CASH DEPOSIT NO RENTAL CAR CAN BE DELIVERED


RESERVATION
To make a reservation we must have full details of your flight number, flight time and departure airport.

Reservations must be made no less than 48 hours in advance of your arrival in Portugal to guarantee that you receive a confirmation of your booking.

At the airport a friendly staff member of the company will await you near the arrival gate holding a sign with your name on it.

Baby/Child seat(s) are available free of charge upon request. Please mention this when you boook or availability cannot be guaranteed.

INSURANCE

In addition to compulsory third party insurance, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and theft cover are also provided with a low excess.
Personal Accident Insurance is not included. Insurance cover is subject to an excess and your maximum liability is indicated below. Here is the price for optional waiver of the excess:
Group A / B / C / D - Excess 550 Euros. Excess waiver - 6 Euros per day
Group E / F/ G - excess 650 Euros. Excess waiver - 7 Euros per day
Group I / G1 / H - excess 750 Euros. Excess waiver - 8 Euros per day
Group H1 / I1 - excess 1,000 Euros. Excess waiver - 10 Euros per day
Group J / J1 / L / K - excess 1,500 Euros. Excess waiver - 10 Euros per day

Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)is avialable - 4 Euros per day

Super CDW = Excess waiver
Full Insurance = Super CDW + PAI
