Our Chauffeur rates are based on those of the British Chauffeurs Guild.

2009 Daily Cost for a chauffeur DRIVING YOUR VEHICLE is made up as follows:

Daily fixed charge 40 euros plus a flat rate (Monday-Sunday up to 10pm and after 8 am) of 17.50 euros per hour

After 21.30 and before 08.00 and All day Bank Holidays (midnight-midnight) 30.00 euros per hour
Drivers Daily Travel Time Allowance (one hour per day) 17.50 euros
Hirings are subject to a minimum of the daily fixed charge, travel allowance plus 5 hours per day. - 145 euros.

Long term rates available please contact us for a quotation.

If meals are not provided by the client the following daily allowances apply

Breakfast 12.50 euros
Lunch 15 euros
Evening meal 30 euros

Overnight stays additional costs:
All Chauffeurs Non-working hours, away from home, are charged at 8.50 euros per hour.

The client is expected to provide overnight accomodation for the driver.

The European working hours directive applies to all drivers and driving regulations also apply which means that the driver MUST have compulsory breaks and rest periods. We will advise if your itinerary complies.

Chauffeur Driver Hire PLUS Vehicle

The above rates apply to a chauffeur driving your vehicle.We can provide a vehicle as well as the driver.
Due to the " taxi " regulations every mad manic taxi dashing from job to job claims to be a " chauffeur " and currently it is actually technically illegal to provide a mileage rate based service, unless the car is registered as a taxi and painted cream. There are no "Private Hire " arrangements.

As cars and their hire are very expensive in Portugal ( UK prices + at least 35%)We can supply a good quality comfortable mid range car for the duration of your stay at a very reasonable rate. This car is new ( March 2007),extremely well equipped ( Zonal Air conditioning, leather seats, security tinted windows, sun screens etc) and holds the maximum five stars EMCAP safety, is a low carbon emitter and can seat 4 very comfortably ( it actually has 7 seats including the driver )

- Our standard hourly rate for this vehicle & driver including fuel is 50 euros an hour + IVA (Portuguese VAT). ( Minimum 2 hours) Weekly rates are available. This fee also varies according to the time of year and your planned intinerary - please ask us for a detailed quote.

If you prefer we can hire in a suitable car ( BMW 520, Audi A6 or Mercedes for example) for the chauffeur to drive. We can arrange this for you competetively with a number of local suppliers. If you prefer to book it yourself or have your own vehicle, this is acceptable BUT you should ensure that our drivers details are given at the time of booking. Watch out for extra charges for insurance and heavy (up to and over £1000) insurance excesses. We know of a number of good all inclusive deals, depending on the vehicle you require.

If you supply a car the booking is then a "Chauffeur Driver only" contract and you are responsible for the terms & conditions of the car hire and any fuel required during the hiring will be for you to pay.(We will pay for fuel or any other agreed extras for your stay if you provide us with funds in advance) You should note that most hire companies require the car to be returned full of fuel and will require a substantial security deposit, particularly for luxury cars which may also have limited availability.
